Overview

As part of its selection of VR games offered at the Enversed Entertainment center, an in-house arena shooter was developed to demo its new freeroam space.

Key features

Large open playspace

A large designated section is reserved for the VR shooter. No simulated movement required; you move 1:1 with your virtual avatar in the arena.

Weapon controller

The Mavrik VR Blaster controller is used to send tracking data and receive haptic feedback commands for increased immersion.

Various playable avatars

Players fight in two teams each with their own selectable virtual avatars and weapons.

My contributions

  • Programmed replicated movement system for full-body VR avatars.
  • Added base setup for weapon functionality and impact (S)FX based on surface type.
  • Added lobby<–>arena flow with seamless visual transition.
  • Added character selection.
